Biography

Ellen Lewis received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from SUNY Fredonia School of Music and then went on to to get an Artist Diploma in Opera from University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music. She completed her formal training in Music at Yale University School of Music, receiving her Master of Music in vocal Performance. 

Ellen's administrative work also began at Yale when upon graduating while working in the Yale Concert Office, the current manger abruptly left and she took over as the interim manager for the rest of the semester, working closely with the Dean's office at the time. Ellen and her husband Darin subsequently moved to New York City and while living there and singing professionally, she also worked at Sony Classical Music as the Assistant to a record producer in the Special Projects division. 

At Lehigh, Ellen is the Graduate and Undergraduate Academic Coordinator and Business Manager for the Department. She currently is serving on the CAS Dean's  Staff Advisory Committee, which she enjoys very much.

Ellen also spent many years teaching a the Horace Mann School in New York, and currently teaches a couple nights a week as an Adjunct Lecturer in Voice at Muhlenberg College.
