My name is Jonathan Wood. I am a History and Earth & Environmental Science double major with a Creative Writing minor. My advisor is Professor Savage. I am involved in Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society, and Kappa Kappa Psi, a coed fraternity on campus whose goal is to provide service and support for the university band programs. I am in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Marching 97 marching band, of which I am the Drum Major this year. I have taken HIST 011, 041, 042, 050, 110, 202, 303, 315, and 351. I thoroughly enjoyed 351 because Cutcliffe's class was right in line with my other interest in environmental science. 202, while easily the most difficult class I have taken at Lehigh, was also the most rewarding, leaving me with a full-length research paper and deep purple bags under my eyes!
I was employed with the City of Bethlehem in an internship in their Urban Forestry department this past summer. After graduation, I plan on going into Environmental Consulting as a profession, using all the skills from my History major in writing reports and making sense of long documents.
